BM TRADA Q-Mark · Certificate 4515
Arctic Fire Limited is certified by BM TRADA — a UKAS-accredited certification body — under three Q-Mark certification schemes: 052 Fire Door Installation, 058 Fire Door Maintenance and 05B Fire Stopping Installation.
Certification means our processes, people and workmanship are independently audited against the scheme standard, year on year. Every scheme-compliant doorset and seal we install or maintain is Q-Mark labelled, registered and traceable back to the operative who carried out the work.
The distinction matters: many contractors say "accredited" loosely, or rely on self-certification. Q-Mark is third-party attestation — the strongest form of assurance available for this work, and the competency benchmark named in major clients' own contractor requirements.

Certification is held by Arctic Fire Limited, the fire safety division of Arctic Group.
Verify it yourself
Do not take our word for it. Certificate 4515 is listed in the BM TRADA certified companies directory, where you can confirm the schemes, the scope and the current status directly with the certification body.
Our Approved Persons
Stephen Giles DipFD
Diploma in Fire Doors, and certified Fire Door Evaluator, Fire Door Installer and Fire Door Maintainer (FDE · FDI · FDM). Signs off every scheme declaration, approves operative competency and owns the audit trail for the fire door schemes.
David Nemes
Approved Person for the Fire Stopping Installation scheme across all four groups — penetration seals, linear joint seals, cavity barriers and air transfer grilles — leading specification, installation standards and evidence for the fire stopping discipline.
What certification means day to day
Assessed operatives
Every operative is competency-assessed and signed off by an Approved Person against each task they perform, before they perform it — and re-assessed on a rolling record.
Audited annually
BM TRADA audits our processes, records and completed works. Certification is retained by evidence, not renewed by invoice.
Honest scope
Work inside the scheme is Q-Mark labelled. Anything outside it is formally notified and never passed off as certified — so your records always say exactly what they mean.
Read the certificates for yourself.

Third-party fire certification is the part that matters most for the work itself. These are the wider assessments that FM buyers, main contractors and pre-qualification portals look for.
The certificates
The current certificates, exactly as issued. All three schemes sit under one BM TRADA certificate number, 4515, with a separate certificate for each scheme.

BM TRADA Q-Mark schemes 052, 058 and 05B — certificate 4515, covering fire door installation, fire door maintenance and repair, and fire stopping installation across groups A to D. Audited annually, with named Approved Persons accountable for each scheme.
UKAS accreditation 0012 — held by BM TRADA as our certification body. UKAS accredits certification bodies; certification bodies certify companies. We are certified, not accredited, and the distinction is worth insisting on.
SafeContractor (Alcumus) — independent assessment of our health and safety management, policies and competence, recognised across FM and main contractor supply chains.
Pre-qualification packs, insurance certificates, method statements and operative competency records are available on request — email fire@arcticltd.com and tell us which portal or format you need them in.
