Cookie policy

Which cookies arctic-fire.co.uk sets, what they do and how to turn them off.

Last updated 16 September 2026

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. This page explains which ones arctic-fire.co.uk uses and how to turn them off.

Essential cookies

These make the site work and cannot be switched off. We store one small item in your browser to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner, so that it does not appear on every page. Our host, Cloudflare, may also set a security cookie to identify malicious traffic. No essential cookie identifies you personally or is used for advertising.

Analytics cookies

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they click. We use this to decide what to write next. IP addresses are truncated by Google before they reach us and we never see your name or contact details through analytics. Nothing is loaded until you accept.

Advertising cookies

When we run Google Ads, we use Google Ads conversion tracking to see which adverts lead to enquiries, and may use remarketing cookies to show our adverts to people who have visited this site. These are only set if you choose ‘Accept’ in the cookie banner, never if you reject. You can also turn off personalised advertising across Google at adssettings.google.com.

Cookies set by other sites

The contact page embeds a Google Map, and some pages link to firesurvey.co.uk, LinkedIn and arcticltd.com. Those services set their own cookies under their own policies once you interact with them.

How to control cookies

  • Use the banner. Choosing ‘Reject’ means no analytics or advertising cookie is ever set.
  • You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the ‘Cookie settings’ link at the foot of every page. If you switch from Accept to Reject, the analytics cookies already set are deleted.
  • Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for all sites — look under Privacy or Site settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
